Another school year is upon us and the District has been quite busy. Our building project is nearing completion. The parking lots have all been paved. Our tennis/pickle ball court is complete and ready for use. We have new athletic display cases down the main hall. The final stage of the roof is underway and our new STEM/computer lab is nearly complete as well. We have also embarked on smaller projects like painting the bus garage and paving in front of it. The new state of the art auditorium/ gym will be completed over the Christmas break. We will also be working on installing new glass in the entrance and painting the front façade of the building in the near future.

We have undergone three separate audits this past year. The annual financial audit came back very positive. The Comptroller’s Office conducted an IT audit and we are making the necessary changes as suggested by the auditors. The State also conducted a Special Education audit. There were no issues with this audit.

On the education front, we continue to push to improve our math programs as well as stress academic responsibility to all our students in whatever program they attend. The teaching staff continues to challenge our students every day to be responsible for their education and not the other way around.    The robotics team is nearing its first competition.

We have a busy November ahead of us. On November 9th we will celebrate our Veteran’s with our annual Veteran’s Day celebration. We also celebrate our annual Grandparent‘s luncheon November 20th and our 1st Pride in the Valley of the school year on November 25th. Also, Mr. Thorsland will be continuing his Wednesday night cooking classes throughout the year. Get involved and be proud of your children’s accomplishments. Good things are happening in the Valley….Wildcat Pride!!!

Thank you to our custodial staff for working to keep the building as clean as possible during the building project. This has been an enormous task and we truly appreciate all they do.
